Rajashree a multifaceted, multitalented artist ! Truly, she has art in her genes, not only mastered in many dance forms but has a good hand at a variety of other arts and crafts as well. Being a devotee of dance from childhood, a spectacular performer, immensely talented & creative choreographer and a gifted teacher, she is a strong believer and supporter of the arts in education.

At a very tender age of 8, she showed great interest in learning Bharatanatyam. She had her initial training for 12 years under Guru Shri Sadanand Balkrishanan ( Balam Sir ) and Mrs. Shobha Menon.

She is privileged to be trained under the guidance of Mrs. Meera Dhanu ( Ganapathy ) and has performed her Arangetram at her feet. She has a strong academic background in Bharatanatyam. She has accomplished ‘Visharad Purna’ (Equivalent to BFA) from the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya with distinction.

Her dedication has led her to pursue deeper studies of different aspects of Bharatanatyam. She has completed ‘Parangata’ and ‘Nrityashatra’ (advanced diplomas) from Nalanda Dance Research Centre, Mumbai.

Besides Bharatanatyam, Rajashree has also taken lessons in Kathak from Mrs. Rekha Nadgauda for 5 years. In addition to dance, she has also holds the degrees of B.HSc (Textiles & Clothing) and M.A. in Marathi. She has worked as a designer and developer for V.I.P. soft luggage and lecturer (Textiles & Clothing) in S.M.R.K. College, Nashik.

Performances and Achievements:
  • She was a part of 25th year of Nritya school of dance, Kansas.
  • Widely appreciated when performed at Hindu Temple and Cultural Centre, Kansas.
  • had the honour of representing India and displaying her art at the International Cultural Festivals held in Kansas and Missouri.
  • She has performed at various venues in India on many prestigious occasions. She has participated in group dance dramas as well as given solo performances
  • Gave a remarkable solo performance in the programme organized by the Punyashlok Sadguru Shiv Parvati Pratishthan, Nashik. She has also been felicitated with the “Gunagaurav Puraskar ” by the same.
  • The main participant in group compositions composed and directed by Mrs. Meera Dhanu (Ganapathy) like Amrut Varshini, 78th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan, Nashik, Ruturang Sanskrutik Mahotsav, Rangabhoomi Din, SNDP Mahotsav etc.
  • Participated in Bharatanatyam dance concerts with Balam Sir and Shobha Menon. Also performed in Kathak concerts with Mrs. Rekha Nadgauda like ‘Rasayatra’, ‘Jigisha’, ‘Bhoomi’, ‘Aamhi Marathi’, etc.
  • Performed in Nupoor ballet in “Sur Singar”, Mumbai.
  • Participated in group performances during Pandit Gopikrishna Jayanti Mahostav organized by Kirti Kala Mandir, Nashik.
  • Represented S.M.R.K. College, Nashik for five years in ‘Youth Festival’ held by the S.N.D.T. University, Mumbai and won awards.
  • She further had the opportunity of representing the S.N.D.T. University at Zonal level (West Zone)in the Yuva Mahotsav ‘Yuvarang.’
  • Choreographed and also performed in a group dance and won 2ndaward in the Winter Carnival National Youth Festival held at Manali in 1998. Her group won 32 record breaking awards that year.
As a Choreographer :
  • Successfully provided choreography of classical, semi-classical, folk, bollywood as well as thematic dance dramas for annual functions of schools, colleges, inter college competitions on state, zonal and national level.
  • For several professional productions like Geetotsav ( a dance musical show based on festivals).
  • Also she has worked as a voice –over artist, acted in documentaries and participated in a dance song in Marathi film ‘ Jay Ashtabhuja Saptashrungi Mata’ directed by Late Rajeev Patil.
  • She has also judged several dance competitions.
